About me
kestrel (she/her) is a bootblack on the autism spectrum who has been bootblacking since 2012.. Her mentor is Rev_Evan, International Community Bootblack 2009. She’s bootblacked at the previous Dallas Eagle leather bar, South Plains Leather Fest 2013, 2014, 2023, and 2024, TASSP 2023, various leather organizations and local events.
kestrel embodies care and provides space when she blacks. She is a humanist, and believes everyone deserves to be seen and take up space. Whether you're bringing exotic leather, a thrift store find, or just need space to sit and re-regulate while still feeling connected to the event, she welcomes you to her stand. Bootblacking is care for our community, its people and their stories.
